We've been working hard over the past few months to scout some amazing talent for what is set to be another stella line up of musicians!

We know that festival patrons love their plants, so we’ve created this popular and pretty area just next to the Birregurra Mechanics Hall filled with all things gardening. Wandering through the garden hub, you'll find:

• Plenty of plants….olives, Australian natives, shrubs, perennials, seedlings... all your plant needs in one spot..
• Garden advice…ask the experts on each stall
• Bunches of fabulous spring flowers
• Great ideas for vertical gardening as well as compost bins, worm farms, and garden edging.

For some fun, test your knowledge in our competition to Guess the Herb and win a fabulous prize, if your name is the first drawn.
And make sure you bring your little green thumbs to pot up a free vegie seedling to take home. And as a festival special, be sure to buy some Birre mixed lettuce seed to plant in your garden.

Ami and Franz Hillege grow all their produce organically on their small farm, Otway Fields in the Victorian Otways. Once fruit and vegetables are harvested, they then create wonderful preserves using their produce, based on favourite family recipes. These delicious products will be available under their 'Otway Fields' label at Birregurra Festival and at the Birregurra Sunday Markets starting in November.

It's been a busy few years for Sharon and Matt at Forrest Brewery and as the Herald Sun's Aaron Langmaid points out "Brother and sister brewers Matt and Sharon Bradshaw have helped turned the fortunes around for Forrest, a hamlet near Victoria’s Otways which slid into obscurity after the demise of the local logging industry."

We're very lucky to have this terrific place a short drive from Birregurra where we can get a great meal, enjoy a cold brew on a hot day and listen to some local music. And even with the dining hall and boutique brewery in full swing, Matt & Sharon always seem to find time to get involved with the Birregurra community, especially at the Birregurra Festival.

Once again this year, you will find the Forrest Brewery team pulling their small batch artisan beers from their mobile brewery - a fabulous vintage Airstream - in the Festival Food & Wine Precinct.

It's been a huge couple of award weeks for Gourmet Traveller's and The Age's Good Food Guide's Chef of the Year, Dan Hunter and his team at Brae Restaurant.

Birregurra Festival congratulates Dan and the team for their successes and thanks them for their generous contribution of two dinner and wine packages worth $600 for the 2015   Birregurra Festival draw.

Tickets are just $5.00 and are available at the Birregurra General Store and will be available across festival weekend from the festival information tent.

Also up for grabs is one nights accommodation at Otway Estate and a mixed dozen of fabulous local wines.
